About forty meters underground. The cold leaves a goose-flesh on your skin. Humid air, wet walls, small puddles on the ground. Silence. You just hear very quiet footsteps and from time to time whispers echoing in the almost three kilometers long, round tunnel.
Here we are. Beginning from the new metro station Überseequartier, nearby the HafenCity, we were heading for about 1-2 hours in the direction of Jungfernstieg. From there on the new underground-metro U4 will be sharing the tracks with the already existing U2 and will go to Billstedt.
It was a nice experience last year to walk through the still incomplete work that will be finished and passable sometime.
