Na zdraví!
Praha 2011 – 2/3
Second day in Prague. To be honest it would be ways too much to write down everything I have experienced during those days. I will just summarize that. We visited the Katedrála sv. Víta, Václava a Vojtěcha, that was closed the day before. After that we walked through the city, that time we were mostly in Praha 7, where my friend was living, and Praha 1, which is the center. By the way, the quarters in Prague are numbered, so if you say where you are going, you use the numbers, like they were the names of the districts. Easy to remember. So we were strolling for hours to reach the very well known Charles Bridge – Karlův most. I also touched the statue of Jan Nepomucký (John of Nepomuk) for good luck! Our next destination was Staré Město, the Old Town Square, where you can see the beautiful Prague Orloj, a medieval astronomical clock. It consists of three components that show the position of the Sun and the Moon in the sky, a calendar and moving figures. The figures are subdivided into four characters that represent vanity, greed, death and pleasure and the twelve Apostles above the clock presented every hour. The next thing we wanted to do was finding a nice bar. After seeing and walking through a summer festival at the Square, having some problems with my credit card and getting lost one time, we have decided to go to a restaurant near home. More to this I will write in the next blog post!
P.S. there are so many small streets that look just the same!
P.S.2 in that place with weapons I immediately had to think about Tomb Raider. Don’t know exactly why… Maybe because they look like those I had for a theme party at the school some years ago. Just… a little smaller ones.
Here you can see pictures from the first day in Prague.
And here from the third and last day.

you were in Prague? as always, beautiful photos!! Bravo Soniu!
Yea, last year. :) But just for three days.
